After a delicious 18th century style meal at the William Pitt tavern in Strawberry Banke we attended the candlelight stroll. This is one of the many reasons why we love living in Portsmouth, there is always something to do. We were entertained with ice skating, horse drawn carriage rides, Costumed characters to chat with, and amazing Carolers from all around the seacoast. Musicians kept it lively, the roaring bonfire kept us toasty, and all of the historic homes were beautifully decorated for the holidays. Many of the homes hosted craft people who demonstrated their talents like the Cooper and the metalsmith who made gorgeous tin lanterns. We were so lucky to have a balmy night we didn't even miss the snow!
